So what’s next after Twitter?
In terms of the next application, Sorry we have no idea, if we did we would have produced it ourselves (have you seen how much those Twitter guys are worth?).
What we do know is that in a very short space of time we’ve gone from individual website content authors writing thousands of words on giant websites to lots of friends writing little notes to each other.
Now every minute of the day every random thought is published for everyone to read and share. This is an excellent, if slightly daunting place, to unite people around a brand. (people can say anything they like you know)
At Altogether we try to keep it simple. We start with listening, what are people saying about your brand? Then we can help you plan how to develop a response (or even respond on your behalf).
Once you’re comfortable with that, we proactively seek out conversations by finding emotional connections between brands and consumers. That means we talk to them, like humans, about stuff they are interested in.
We’ll even go as far as building and making things for people to share and talk about (you might call it viral content).
But more than anything, it’s about knowing where people are rather than building something for them and mistakenly thinking that people will come.
One thing is for sure, we would never build you a social network, that’s very expensive and the ones out there are already brilliant.
And they won’t come, that’s a movie about a dream in a field.
