Web Server Pong

What’s it like to be a webserver? This visualisation depicts requests coming into an Altogether Digital webserver from the network addresses on the left. The webserver (in this case running ‘Apache’) is the pong bat on the right. The requests are represented by the multi-coloured balls, swarming towards the server. Each time the pong bat hits a ball and bounces it back, another request has been served.

I wonder what the equivalent of a ‘nice cup of tea and a sit down’ is for a webserver? I almost feel sorry for it.

This visualisation was generated using Logstalgia.
