I was just checking the comments on our blog to see if there were any that needed approval (like all sensible people, we use comment moderation). There were two, and one really caught my eye.

Wow! It seems like blog spammers have been watching the Godfather, and are trying to run protection rackets. All I can say is that I’m very glad that we have not only comment moderation but also the wonderful Askimet (which filters 99% of the spam we get). I suppose we should just be glad that he’s so honest about his reasons for his offer:

Maybe I should take him up on it: we would probably be able to Google Bomb him for a word like, well, spam.

PS – the [deleted] sections in his message are my own; unlike him I have morals, and wouldn’t want him to get spammed.
