Big Brother (The Mouse Version)
A good friend of mine recently booked a holiday, and asked me to look after her pet mouse, Colin, while she travels.
Now, although I like to think of myself as an animal-friendly type (I am piscetarian, apparently, or in American, pescetarian, so I only hate fish enough to eat them, no other animals), I was rather nervous about the responsibility that comes with being a foster-father to such a small creature. I mean, what if he falls off his hammock and hurts himself, or a cat somehow breaks into the house and unlatches the cage? Or Colin hatches a master plan of escape a-la Shawshank Redemption?
So, to be sure of his well being during work hours, I have invented Colin Cam - a system made of 1 laptop, 3 webcams, some webspace and some trial webcam broadcasting software. It has become a bit of a cult site so far, so please enjoy his cute features while they remain at my home - he will be returning to his owner next week!
