Highland Fling 2007
Alan White has organised a web standards conference in Edinburgh called The Highland Fling. This year the focus is progressive enhancement and there are a number of interesting speakers from Clear Left and Yahoo! Europe for example. It’s very reasonably priced and long overdue for the area in my opinion. But then I only lived there for a year so what do I know. I’m hoping there will be tartan goody-bags, Alan.
Alan is not only a talented dev but an outspoken supporter of web standards who sounds very like a Scottish version of Baron Greenback from Dangermouse. I only tell you this so that when you meet him for the first time you can be prepared to say “Si Barone” at an opportune moment.
